England Golf's #MyClubMyStory competition continues with new prizes and inspiring stories from club members.

England Golf's #MyClubMyStory competition has already received over 1,600 entries
England Golf is excited to announce the continuation of its #MyClubMyStory competition, which celebrates the unique experiences and stories of golf club members across England.
Following the overwhelming success of last month's competition, with over 1,600 entries received, England Golf is now offering new prizes for June, including custom-designed FootJoy MyJoys golf shoes.
The #MyClubMyStory competition aims to highlight the best aspects of being a member of a golf club. Last month's lucky winner, Victoria Jansen from Morpeth Golf Club, received tickets to the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool.
Entrants shared heart-warming stories about how being a club member has impacted their lives, from making lifelong friendships to overcoming personal challenges. Previous entries include:
"Having left the Armed Forces and recently settling in a new location I initially found it really difficult as it was like starting over all again. I applied to become a member of my local club and from the first meeting I was welcomed with open arms which was amazing. I was introduced to so many new members and within a short period of time made many new friends to which I play regularly and I’m now a member of the 1st team and represent my county. I look forward to being a member of this wonderful golf club for many years to come."
"I was widowed 3 years ago and my club has been a lifeline for me in helping me to move on, which was extremely painful initially…I may never have done was it not for my golfing "family". I am now proud to repay by being the 2023 Ladies Captain."
"As a council house kid growing up in the 1950's, golf was something only rich people played. I never thought about it until in 1991 a colleague told me he was starting to play golf again and did I fancy having a go? I said yes and it was the best decision I ever made…I have made so many wonderful friends, been to so many wonderful places and…this year I was elected President! Can't believe it! My dad would have been so proud."
Jeremy Tomlinson, CEO of England Golf, said: "We are delighted with the response to our #MyClubMyStory competition and are passionately to continue celebrating the incredible stories of our golf club members.
"The competition has already brought to light the powerful impact that golf can have on people's lives, and we look forward to hearing more inspiring stories in the coming months."
This month's prize is a pair of MyJoys, custom FootJoy golf shoes designed by the winner. To enter the competition, participants simply need to answer the question: "What is your favourite memory at your club?"
