England Golf has named its men’s and women’s teams for the Home Internationals at Machynys Golf Club in Wales (9-11 August), as well as the boys’ and girls’ teams for the Home Internationals at Lindrick Golf Club in Yorkshire (8-10 August).
England Women’s

Sophia Fullbrook, 17, and Isla McDonald-O’Brien, 16, will make their first England Women’s appearances at the Home Internationals while it will also be a Women’s Home Internationals debut for Patience Rhodes and Jessica Hall.
The sister duo of Mimi Rhodes and Patience Rhodes add some vital experience to the women’s team, along with Rosie Belsham and Lottie Woad, who picked up silver medals with Patience for England Women at July’s European Team Championship.
Mimi won the NCAA Division One Women’s National Championship with Wake Forest in the USA earlier this year while Patience and Lottie are representing Europe against Asia-Pacific this week in the Patsy Hankins Trophy.
Performance Manager for Women’s Golf, Becca Hembrough, said: “This group has a strong combination of experience, form and a big desire to win points for England. It will be a great opportunity for them all to come together as a team at this exciting event.”

Charlie Crockett, Matthew Dodd-Berry and Will Hopkins are all making their men’s debuts at the Home Internationals following a number of excellent results in America, backed up by strong finishes at the St Andrews Links Trophy and the Amateur Championship amongst other competitions. Dodd-Berry recently won the Junior Dutch Open while 18-year-old Tyler Weaver, who won last week’s Carris Trophy, is picked in the men’s team.
Four players who represented England Men in this month’s European Team Championship have been named, including Dylan Shaw-Radford, Jack Bigham, Arron Edwards-Hill and James Claridge.
England, who have won the Men’s Home Internationals 46 times since it was first staged in 1932, will be hoping to retain their title they won at Ballyliffin Golf Club in Ireland last year. England Men’s Squad Manager Gareth Jenkins said: “It will be a very competitive Home Internationals as the teams will be very equally matched but, as holders, we are confident we can challenge once again.”

Ellise Rymer, Maggie Whitehead, Amelia Wan and Sadie Adams are all named in the squad after featuring in the recent European Team Championship while it will be Ellise and Ellen Yates’ final year playing for the Girls’ squad in the Home Internationals, before they head back to their respective universities in the USA (NC State University and University of Houston).

Following impressive performances for England Boys’ team in the European Team Championship where they picked up bronze medals, Hugh Adams, Sam Easterbook, Kris Kim, Harry Malin and Jake Plumb are all selected to play at Lindrick in the Home Internationals.
Easterbrook, Malin, Adams and Drew Sykes all finished in the top-10 at last week’s Carris Trophy, with under-17 player Sykes set for his first Home Internationals appearance. It will also be a first appearance for under-16 player Kim, who is fresh off the back of a McGregor Trophy win and a top-10 finish at the 2023 European Young Masters.
Jack Lee has earned his first Home Internationals’ call-up following his back-to-back Peter McEvoy Trophy wins in 2022 and 2023. Josh Berry, Frazer Jones and Easterbrook played in the Home Internationals last year while Plumb was the leading under-18 player at the Brabazon Trophy in May after his tied-fourth finish, as well as a third-place finish at the Berkhamsted Trophy.
England Boys’ have won the Home Internationals 20 times, including all of the last six events. Performance Manager for Men’s Golf, Stephen Burnett, added: “We have picked what we feel is the strongest team with players who are in fantastic form. We’re looking forward to the tournament, which will be the last England Boys’ Home Internationals for seven of the nine players.”
Competition format
Over the course of three days, each nation (England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland) will play each other once to decide who takes home the title. The format for both the women’s/girls’ and men’s/boys’ competitions is seven foursome games and 14 single games (six women and eight men). Team positions will be determined by the highest number of match points.
