England won the Girls' & Boys' Home Internationals at Lindrick Golf Club, after overcoming Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the three-day tournament.

On an emphatic first day, England thumped Scotland 17-4 thanks to an enormous 11-1 win for the Boys and a 6-3 victory for the Girls.
Day two saw England comfortably see-off Wales 15-6 with the Girls winning 7-2 and the Boys triumphing 8-4, before a relentless final day from the Girls saw them cruise to an 8-1 win over Ireland.
Sadly, the Boys didn’t win the Boys’ trophy after Ireland proved too strong in a 7-5 win, but the overall Boys’ & Girls’ Home Internationals trophy belonged to England thanks to a tremendous team performance beating Ireland 13-8 on Thursday.
Girls’ trio Amelia Wan, Nellie Ong and Lili-Rose Hunt had tournaments to remember, as did Boys’ player Frazer Jones.
Amelia Wan (Sherwood Forest) won all six points available to her in the competition as she won all her foursomes matches and all of her singles matches, including some heavy wins in the singles as she racked up two 5&4 wins and another by 5&3.
Nellie Ong (Eaton, Norwich) was in tremendous form, winning all six games across both formats, which included a mammoth 7&6 win in the singles, as well as 6&5 and 4&2 wins to thrash her opponents.
Lili-Rose Hunt (Redditch) won all matches she was a part of across three foursomes matches and three singles matches. She produced two big wins in the singles by 6&5 and 5&4, and along with Amelia Wan and Nellie Ong, they were the only girls to pick up maximum points from their matches.
Women’s & Girls’ Assistant Performance Manager India Clyburn said: “It’s been a great watch and a great tournament for the girls. Today there was a lot of good golf so we had to win a lot of holes with birdies. Special mention must go to Nellie, Lili and Amelia for securing all six points but it really was an outstanding performance from the entire team. We’re very pleased and proud of them all.”
Ellise Rymer (Lincoln) was unbeaten in her four matches as she won three and drew one, while Sadie Adams (Royal Birkdale) won three of her five contests. Ellen Yates (West Hill) produced an enormous 7&5 win on the final day as she won two of her four games.
Frazer Jones (Kirkby Muxloe) was in scintillating form as he won all six matches he was a part of for the Boys, while he and Sam Easterbrook (Olton) won all of their foursomes matches together. Sam won four of his six matches overall, as did Harry Malin (Bognor Regis).
Kris Kim (Walton Heath) also had a fantastic tournament as he romped to five wins from six matches, including three out of three in the singles. Jake Plumb (Gog Magog) won all his singles matches as he won three from four points available for his team, while Josh Berry won three of his five matches.
Hugh Adams (Hagley) and Jack Lee (Rochester & Cobham Park) won three of their six games.
Performance Manager for Men’s Golf, Stephen Burnett, said: “It was a great battle on the final morning but Ireland got points in the singles in the early afternoon and despite us coming back at them at the end, it wasn’t quite enough to secure the Boys’ Home Internationals trophy. That said, it was another awesome week for the Boys who played some great golf and a special mention must go to Lindrick who have been fantastic hosting this event.”
