Wells Golf Club’s Freya Keirl was crowned winner of the female Race To Woodhall Spa Final, sponsored by Your Golf Travel, after shooting 39 points on Woodhall Spa's Bracken Course.

In a field of all ages, playing off 26, Freya made a super birdie on the 7th hole and along with four pars, it was enough to see her edge 33-year-old Lauren Underwood in second place.
The 13-year-old said: “It’s amazing. My very first major competition and to win it is amazing! My highlights were getting a birdie and playing some great golf, as well as playing with some amazing people! It’s been a great opportunity which I’ve really enjoyed, and I’d definitely encourage others to enter this tournament. I’m going to go out with my caddie for a nice meal to celebrate!”
Shooters Hill Golf Club’s Lauren Underwood finished two points back, playing off 29. The 33-year-old said: “I had lots of fun in bunkers but I holed some long putts!”
In third place on countback was Pamela Henson of Harpenden Common. Playing off 31, Pamela was one of five players who came in with 35 points. Check out the final Race To Woodhall Spa Final (female) leaderboard by clicking here.
