Tadmarton Heath’s David Lakin won the 2024 Senior Series Grand Final with 47 Stableford points at Woodhall Spa, the home of England Golf.

After an exciting 12 regional qualifiers across the country, 91 players came to the world-famous Hotchkin Course to play a round of 18 holes to decide the winner on what was a challenging overcast and windy day.
Playing off 12 and the first group of the day, Jason Macdonald (Brokenhurst Manor) got off to a steady start with pars on the first two holes. He went on to score seven more pars and scored points on every hole in his tally of 40 points, which saw him provisionally top the standings.
With three groups remaining, David Lakin, playing off 27, had a good start with five points on the first two holes, and made a lovely birdie on the 3rd. He went on to score two more birdies on the 5th and 12th, and alongside his only par on 15, it was enough to see him take the top spot from Macdonald.
In 3rd place was Hessle’s Matthew Moore playing off 8, who also started the day well with four pars in his opening four holes. He went on to score points on every single hole in his knock of 37 points, three behind Macdonald in 2nd.
Caroline Harrison (West Malling) was 4th with 36 points followed by Peter Revell (Bungay & Waveney Valley) in 5th with 35 points to round out the top five. View the final leaderboard.
