Dave Lawlor (Stockwood Park) was crowned champion of the 2025 England Golf Seniors Series, sponsored by Insured Health, after hitting 68 points across two rounds at Woodhall Spa Golf Club.

The Bedfordshire golfer hit eight pars on the Hotchkin Course on Monday to land 38 points, before backing it up with another eight pars in 30 points accrued on the Bracken Course on Tuesday.
That was just enough to see off Bhogilal Hirani (Sand Martins) and George Sheriff (Haste Hill) who shot 67 points across the two days of action, while Enfield’s Philip Tiddy was 4th on 66 points. Check out the final leaderboard here.
Winner Dave said: “It’s amazing, it’s the biggest achievement of my life in golf so far.
“I wasn’t so nervous teeing off but coming down the finish, it was really nerve-wracking! I didn’t really know where I was at, I knew I was doing okay but I was just thinking that I needed 32 points.
“It was definitely the most nervous I’ve been on a golf course. My playing partners were fantastic and kept me going.
“At score recording, when they told me I’d won it, there were tears in my eyes. To come out on top when well over a thousand players have competed in the Senior Series this year, it’s just fantastic.
“The whole atmosphere, the way it’s all ran, it’s brilliant. Everybody has got to know everyone and we’re all friends, it’s like a big golf society and it’s incredible.
“I’m going to celebrate by rushing home and watching my grandson play football!”
