Luffenham Heath Golf Club has been shortlisted for the Tournament Venue of the Year Award at the 2026 England Golf Awards, after hosting the 2025 Carris Trophy.

The club distinguished itself through its professionalism and meticulous attention to detail across every aspect of the event. Operations ran seamlessly, with volunteers covering all key duties and staff consistently anticipating the needs of England Golf, competitors and spectators.
The course itself was immaculate throughout the week, expertly prepared each day under the guidance of the course manager and the team, supported by dedicated evening divoting crews who ensured championship‑level conditioning.
The practice ground was elevated to elite standard, with club range balls replaced by Pro V1s and neatly pyramided for each player.
To accommodate increased attendance, the club expanded parking into a neighbouring field, ensuring smooth access and efficient traffic flow.
Inside the clubhouse, staff responded superbly to heightened demand, maintaining excellent service and food quality throughout the championship.
Volunteers were a standout feature of the week — enthusiastic, reliable and quick to build rapport with officials and players alike.
Adding a thoughtful and international touch, the club created a dedicated Carris Trophy history display and showcased multilingual welcome messages, celebrating the event’s heritage and global reach.
Luffenham Heath’s shortlist recognition reflects a venue that delivered a truly first‑class championship experience.
