Lancashire’s Daisy Lee claimed the Girls’ Fairhaven Trophy in emphatic fashion, holding off fellow England Girls’ Squad member and defending champion, Elizabeth Wilson, to win by six shots.
From there, the 16-year-old added rounds of 75, 76 and 75 to finish on-3, the only player in the field to break par across all four rounds.
“I’ve known about this tournament for years and it’s always been a dream to win it, especially as it’s close to home,” said Lee.
“I’m really happy with the way I played, especially over the last two rounds. My playing partners were Swiss and really friendly, which helped a lot.
“In the final round I spent a lot of time in the trees, but I kept making pars — I felt like Jordan Spieth! Heading into the week I just wanted to make the cut because I’d played with a member last week and it didn’t go too well, but I stuck with it."
The victory ranks among Lee’s strongest results to date. She finished as the leading under-16 player at the 2025 Flogas Irish Girls’ Championship and was runner-up at the 2025 English Girls’ Open Stroke Play Championship.
“It’s more of a relief, really, because my exams are next week,” she added. “I can focus on those now, then get back to golf afterwards without worrying too much.”
Six players made the cut from the 22-player field with Lila Bisset (Northamptonshire County) and Liliya Favre (Switzerland) finishing tied-3rd and Ava Gadsby (East Herts) in 5th. Maybel Brooks unfortunately withdrew through injury in the third round, despite leading after the second round.

Boys' Championship
England Boys’ Squad star George Whitehead closed with a superb 4-under 68, tying the tournament low round, to finish on -2 overall and continue his impressive run of form.
Improving his score each day, the Hillside golfer — who won last month’s Peter McEvoy Trophy at Copt Heath — climbed into tied-4th with rounds of 75, 72, 71 and 68.
Whitehead was joined on the same total by Ringway’s Cole Self, while England teammate Aaron Moody and Thetford’s Sullivan Goddard finished in tied-7th on level par. Another national teammate, Alex Boyes, secured a tied-9th finish at +1.
