Crump cream of the crop at Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship
England Golf Girls’ Squad star Lauren Crump has won the 2025 Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship at Quinta do Lago, Portugal.
The 16-year-old shot 2-under on day one (70), followed by a 1-under on day two (71), to sit in the lead heading into the final day.
And despite an early bogey, Lauren eagled the par-5 5th and made four consecutive birdies from holes 14-17 to cruise to victory on the last day, after shooting 71 (-1) in her last round, finishing six shots clear of 2nd-placed Zoe McLean-Tattan.
Lauren said: “This is such an amazing way to finish off 2025. I'm really proud to have won this, and it sits at the top of all I have achieved this year. It’s been the highlight of the year.
“I was still quite tentative for a lot of the front nine, however I managed to get it together on the back nine. After the birdie on 14, I said to myself I want more, and knowing that there was a par-5 and a couple of the easier par-4s, I said that we’ve got this!”
Meanwhile, fellow England Golf teammate Charlotte Naughton finished 3rd after shooting an overall +6, with England Girls’ youngster Daisy Lee in 5th on +11.

Champion Charlie goes back-to-back
Charlie Rusbridge, 17, has won back-to-back Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championship titles, after a tremendous week at Quinta do Lago, Portugal.
Essex youngster Charlie won the event in 2024 – and was back to his best this week as he shot rounds of 73, 70 and 69 to finish 4-under to win the title.
The Colne Valley golfer enjoyed a four-shot lead heading into the last day, and showed no signs of slowing down after four brilliant birdies on the front nine in his final round, paving the way for a three-shot victory ahead of Scotland’s Kai Laing.
Charlie said: "It was a bit more stressful this year! But it feels really cool to get the win. I was definitely being chased down today. I missed a small putt on the 2nd and then as I put my score in on the 4th tee I saw that John [Doyle] was 4-under through five and we were level on the leaderboard, which I wasn't expecting.
"But I made three birdies in a row from there which was cool, pulling it out of the bag like that when I needed to. It is nice to know I can do that! I just kept trying to do the same things I'd been doing all week and trying not to force anything. I knew I was playing nicely and doing some good things and it was nice for it to all come together at once.
"I said before this tournament that I'd love to be the first person to ever win three of these tournaments in a row, so that now feels a bit more realistic. But for now I'll just enjoy this win. It's been a tough year for me actually. I won early on in France but not much since so it's been more of a learning year for me - but to finish the year like this is pretty cool."
Elsewhere, England Golf Boys’ Squad star Thomas Hartshorne (Teesside) was six shots back in 4th, and he was three shots clear of England teammate Ben Sessions (Bishop’s Stortford) and Rochester & Cobham’s Justin Chenu, who both finished tied-5th on +5.
Another England Boys’ youngster in Alex Boyes was 7th on +7.
