It was another brilliant weekend for England's golfers as Sadie Adams and Kipp Popert won the Flogas Irish Girls’ Amateur Open Championship and G4D Open respectively.

England Golf youngster Sadie Adams has sealed her second title in a fortnight after winning the Flogas Irish Girls’ Amateur Open Championship on Sunday at Belvoir Park.
The 17-year-old shot an incredible 6-under on the final day to finish -13 across the three days of action in the Emerald Isle, two shots ahead of Germany’s Marie Agnes Fischer and seven shots clear of Ireland’s Olivia Costello in 3rd.
The Royal Birkdale golfer said: “I only looked (at the scoring) on the last few holes because that was when it was getting a bit tighter and I wanted to play my own game on the first nine.
“I’m really happy, especially after the four rounds I’ve had. I’ve been hitting it well recently so I felt like I could have won. This is one of the best victories, it gives me a lot of confidence.”

Popert edges G4D Open
English golfer Kipp Popert won the second-ever instalment of The G4D Open at Woburn Golf Club.
The world number one held his nerve to claim a one-shot victory over Brendan Lawlor on the Duchess Course, with Popert finishing +1 after 54 holes from Wednesday to Friday. Popert, who has cerebral palsy, was edged by Lawlor in last year’s inaugural championship but the 25-year-old prevailed this time out to land his 10th G4D Tour title. He said: “I was playing well coming into this week but I didn't really have my A-game the first day. It was nice to come out on top at the end of the week in the battle with Brendan.
“I thought I did a good job on the front-nine today and on the back I just tried to hit greens. I wanted to just keep it in play, what my coach has told me to do, hitting to 15 feet and such like. It goes against my instinct to be honest because I want to go as low as I can.
“I think what I was most pleased with was on the last hole. Again, I thought ‘I'm going to push this to 15 feet’. I felt like the pressure was there but I handled it. There were quite a lot of people and I was just trying to focus. I won the US Adaptive Open last year with the USGA so I've now got both at the same time. I’m pretty excited to get home and put them next to each other.”
