Lottie Woad has been awarded Performance of the Year at this year’s England Golf Awards.

2024 was quite the year for the 21-year-old golfer, after going from being one of England's most promising players, to the top-ranked female golfer in the amateur game. Last April, Lottie came from two shots back as she produced an incredible three birdies in her final four holes to become the first European golfer to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
An amazing final-day performance from USA’s Bailey Shoemaker, who shot a competition-record 66, looked like it might take the victory from the Farnham star, but she produced a sensational finish under pressure to win by a single shot.
A few weeks later, Woad finished in a tie for 23rd place in the Chevron Championship to earn a top-25 finish in her first career LPGA major championship appearance. She finished as one of 29 players in the field with an under-par score and as the second-lowest score among amateurs in the field.
She continued to shine throughout the year, finishing in an amazing tied-10th place at the AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews, winning the Smyth Salver for being the low amateur, while she also helped Great Britain & Ireland win the prestigious Curtis Cup against the USA.
Looking ahead to her goals for the 2025 season and beyond, Lottie has her mind set on competing with the very best in the game in the majors.
Accepting the award, Lottie said: “I’m absolutely delighted to win Performance of the Year. Last year gave me so many amazing memories and opportunities to live out my dream. I’m so grateful for everyone who has helped me get to where I am, including my dad who introduced me to the game and drove me up and down the country to play golf.”
