Easthampstead (NAPGC) were worthy winners of the 2025 Junior Champion Club title after posting impressive rounds of 85 and 78 at Spalding Golf Club.

With the two best stableford scores from three counting on each day, the team featuring Elinior Sleigh, Huxley Davies and Oliver Millington racked up a total of 163 points – seven more than their nearest rivals Bungay & Waveney Valley (Suffolk).
A total of 31 clubs from all over England took part in the championship having previously come through the qualifiers, with each County Union affiliated to England Golf able to nominate one club to compete.
Day one saw Easthampstead and Bungay & Waveney Valley rack up a magnificent 85 points each as they both took an overnight share of the lead.
For Easthampstead, the highlight of the day came from Sleigh, with the 13-handicapper producing an outstanding eagle on the par-5 1st to set the ball rolling for her team before adding another fantastic three birdies and 10 pars to make up 49 of the 85 points.
As for Bungay & Waveney Valley, sisters Jessica and Isabelle McDonald accounted for their team’s two scores with Jessica (26-handicap) tallying five pars and a birdie, while Isabella (6-handicap) fired 11 pars and a birdie. Dylan Cook's 31 points were not included in the scoring.
With the scores tied at the top, it would take a special performance in round two for someone to edge ahead. That came from Easthampstead’s Sleigh who impressed again, scoring on every hole, notching two birdies and seven pars as she collected another 42 points for her team.
Easthampstead’s other counting score came from Davies, the 22-handicapper, who contributed 36 points of the 78. This proved to be enough to secure victory for Easthampstead after Bungay & Waveney Valley could only muster 71 points in round two as they finished 2nd with 156 points.
Lee-On-The-Solent (Hampshire)'s trio of Theo Etherington-Curtis, Jake Binny and Nicholas Dunning, started the day in 4th, but moved up one place to 3rd in the overall standings, finishing with a total of 153 points, three behind Bungay & Waveney Valley.
Elsewhere, defending champions Saltford, with all new line-up for 2025, finished tied-9th and 2023 winners Links Newmarket were tied-13th. Check out the final leaderboard here.
