Glad Glenn gets hands on Champion of Champions trophy
James Glenn (pictured above) shot -5 across 36 holes to defeat the conditions and the rest of the field to win the 2025 Men's County Champion of Champions at Woodhall Spa's Hotchkin Course on Sunday.
The Durham golfer was two shots back of Rory Thompson (Cumbria) after the morning's first round, thanks to a score of 70 (-3), and he backed it up with a 71 (-2) in the afternoon to finish one clear of Thompson and two clear of Alfie Turner (Staffordshire) and Laurie Owen (Hertfordshire).
Owen was flying with six birdies in his final round, and looked set for a play-off with Glenn as he teed it up on the 18th hole following birdies on 16 and 17. However, a double bogey saw him drop down the leaderboard. Check out the final leaderboard here.
