England Golf Girls' Squad star Charlotte Naughton has secured the individual title at the World Junior Girls Championship.

The Longhirst Hall golfer shot an impressive -10 to finish one shot ahead of home favourite Clara Ding at St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, Canada.
"I am so happy I've won the World Junior Girls Championship," said Naughton. "I've played really well this week and my putting was the best part of my game as I've holed quite a few putts."
Opening with a 70 (-2), the 17-year-old followed with a second round 66 (-6) - the second lowest score of the week - to lead at the halfway stage at -8, before adding a 68 (-4) 24 hours later.
Holding a two-shot lead heading into the final day, Naughton stayed poised, holing out from eight feet on the 72nd green to finish with a 74 (+2), closing out a special week that sees her earn exemptions into the LPGA's CPKC Women's Open and the Canadian Women's Amateur.
"The last round was a bit stressful as none of my putts wanted to drop, but on the final hole I holed a good putt to win," added Naughton.
"I would like to thank England Golf for the opportunity, Lauren (Crump) and Ellie (Lichtenhein) for making this week so fun, and my family and friends for all their love and support."
England finished 4th in the team standings at the event thanks to the efforts of Naughton, Crump and Lichtenhein, with Shropshire golfer Crump finishing tied-22nd overall on +3, and The Buckinghamshire's Lichtenhein sitting tied-34th in the 69-player field on +8 overall.
The competition is open to female juniors who have not reached their 19th birthday by the last scheduled day of the championship, and who are not playing university or college golf.
The inaugural event was held in 2014 with medallists including LPGA stars Brooke Henderson, Angel Yin, Megan Khang, Yuka Saso, Linn Grant, and Atthaya Thitikul, and Naughton will be hoping to follow in those footsteps, although she is certainly on her way.
This year's 2025 German Girls' International Amateur winner - becoming the first ever English winner of the event - Naughton has also finished runner-up at the 2025 Girls' Amateur Championship and, for the second year running at the St Rule Trophy, she won the Lawson Trophy for being the leading U18 player.
For England, she has represented her country at the 2025 Girls' & Boys' Home Internationals, the biennial international match against Spain, and the 2025 Toyota Junior World Cup.
Naughton is also due to represent Team Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black next week.
She closed: "I think the course this week set me up for the Ryder Cup, as the rough was very challenging!"
